About the Mudslingers
The Mudslingers is a non-profit gymkhana riding club dedicated to fostering a vibrant and supportive equestrian community in Southern California. Our riders, primarily from Orange, San Diego and Riverside counties, share a passion for the sport and a commitment to continuous growth.
Our Core Philosophy: At the heart of Mudslingers is a deep commitment to horsemanship, sportsmanship and the welfare of our equine partners. We believe that the ancient tradition of gymkhana beautifully celebrates the partnership between horse and human, and we endeavor to honor this bond.
What We Do: We host approximately 12 shows (weather permitting) from September to June, and our shows typically feature 6-7 events per day across 13 disciplines. To ensure fair and fun competition, we structure our divisions by riding level and sometimes by age, providing every rider with the opportunity to excel and win top awards.
Our Community: Our club culture emphasizes family-friendliness, ongoing growth and education. We like to create a welcoming atmosphere where members can develop their skills, build lasting friendships and share their love for horses.
Join Us: We invite you to join us at a Mudslingers show! We host our shows at CRC Ranch in Temecula. Spectator admission is always free.
About our board
Sara Whyte, President. Sara has more than 20 years of experience teaching horseback riding and gymkhana and is the founder and owner of one of San Diego's most drama-free stables, Sundance Hills Equestrian Center. Andrea Thill, Vice President. Andrea has a background in digital media and actively promotes our club online. She is also a certified show judge. Chelsea Goodin, Show Secretary. Chelsea has been training for the show secretary role for the past year, gaining comprehensive knowledge of show administration. She also spent several years as a cheerleading coach, helping kids learn to love what they do and give their best with a great attitude. Board meetings typically occur on the Thursday after shows at 6:30 p.m. at Village Pizza in Bonsall.
