We have a lot of news to share for the new season, including:
- Orientation and registration night: Friday, August 16 at 6:30 p.m. in Fallbrook. We’ll have refreshments (pizza and beverages). Please RSVP for directions.
- Our 2023-24 year-end awards ceremony date is TBD. We polled award recipients on availability and you all were split in thirds re: which dates you’re available. We’re going to see when our awards vendors can deliver the awards. Once we have that info, we’ll set the awards ceremony date, which will most likely be a Thursday evening in late October.
- Our first show of the season is Saturday, September 14 at 8 a.m.
- New this year: Show registration will close on the Thursday before the show at 5 p.m. This will allow our treasurer and show secretaries–including new and apprentice show secretaries–enough time to properly prepare for the show.
- New this year: We have chosen not to renew our contract with CGA after careful consideration. Being a part of CGA gave our club access to gymkhana software and insurance protection. However, we have discovered that the software is inexpensive, and we’ve insured the club for a fraction of the cost of the fees we paid to CGA. We’ve chosen to reinvest the savings into the club and apply the savings toward expanded rider awards programs.
- New this year: We’ll be introducing a new, additional awards program for Mudslingers club members (in addition to our year-end awards). Stay tuned!
